A hybrid model: a private studio founded by professionals, awarding an accredited university degree through Flinders University. The qualification is a four-year Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Effects and Entertainment Design) Honours, taught by people working in the industry.
The school is positioned more on concept art and entertainment design than on pure 3D animation, which the rankings reflect: 5th worldwide in concept art at the 2024 Rookies against 36th in 3D animation.
The school was also ranked first worldwide in Best Digital Illustration Schools by The Rookies in 2017 and 2018, and remains the only on-campus Australian institution ranked by The Rookies.
Admission requires a portfolio, a CV and a motivation letter, with applications through SATAC. Advanced courses require an entry portfolio for newcomers. Single March intake, on the Australian calendar.
Twelve-week short courses, masterclasses and life drawing complete the offering. Fees are not published in a usable form.
