It is the teaching model that really sets this school apart, not its catalogue: no grades, no exams, no lectures. The approach draws on Montessori and Freinet. Teachers act as mentors supervising real production in a shared open space, on a studio model. Founded in 2016 by former Illumination Mac Guff staff.
The 3D course is structured in five stages across five years, with a possible exit at three years carrying a professional certification. Seven specialisations open from year two: Animation, Character Lookdev, Rigging, Environment, VFX, Game Design, Game Development. Houdini certified school.
A deliberately small operation, around 165 to 230 students for nine mentors across 4,500 m², with a full-time wellbeing coordinator. Partnerships claimed with more than seventeen studios including Illumination, Ubisoft, Framestore and MPC.
RECA labelled, RNCP level 7 "Réalisateur Numérique" title. Ranked first worldwide in 3D animation and second in VFX at the 2024 Rookies.
Fees are published and flat across the whole course, which is rare: €8,900 a year within the EU, €9,300 outside, guaranteed until 1 September 2027.
