Animation school
France
Address:
539 Avenue des Nations Unies, 59100 Roubaix, France
A 2D-oriented school. The DN MADe in Animation runs here as a 2D Animation Cinema specialism over three years, with a two-year DSAA in 2D Animation Cinema as a continuation.
Cohorts are very small: 15 places a year on the DN MADe and 10 on the DSAA.
The course covers writing, directing and every stage of making a 2D film, with openings onto stop-motion, virtual reality and video mapping. A three-month placement falls in semester four, and professionals run workshops regularly. Regional partnerships are concrete: Tchack, Ankama and RainboxProd, all based in Hauts-de-France. The graduation film or series is defended before a professional jury.
A public institution, so initial training carries no private tuition fees. The DN MADe and DSAA are national qualifications, and the school is a RECA member.
Admission through Parcoursup for the DN MADe, by application for the DSAA with a DN MADe in Animation or an equivalent qualification.
