ECV Lille
Animation school
France
Address:
21 Rue du Molinel, 59000 Lille, France
ECV's animation programme opens with a very academic common year: life drawing, analytical drawing, perspective. You only specialise in 2D or 3D in the third year. That is a deliberate teaching choice which sets ECV apart from the all-3D schools, and it suits someone who has not yet decided.
A three-year Animation 2D/3D bachelor, then a two-year Animation Cinema master built around collective short films. There is also a Motion 2D/3D bachelor for anyone leaning toward motion design. RNCP level 6 and 7 qualifications.
Fees are published, which is rare enough to be worth noting: €7,500 per year for the bachelor outside Paris, €8,900 for the master, plus a one-off €500 application fee and €290 a year for the technical pack, 2026-2027 rates.
The ECV group's historic animation hub is Bordeaux, which has a motion capture studio. Lille is a more generalist campus.
