ESMA toulouse

Animation school
France
Address:
50 Route de Narbonne, 31320 Auzeville-Tolosane, France
A campus opened in 1993, one of the group's oldest, giving it three decades of local grounding and an alumni network across south-west France. That is the main argument for choosing Toulouse over another ESMA campus, since the syllabus is identical everywhere.
The professional 3D Animation & Visual Effects cycle runs five years: a preparatory Entertainment year then four years of professional cycle. Software chain of Maya, Houdini and Pixar's RenderMan, with skills covering modelling, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering and visual effects. Teaching runs through concrete projects, workshops and talks given by professionals and alumni.
Worth knowing: the group's English-language path is reserved for Bordeaux, Lyon and Montpellier, so it is unavailable in Toulouse.
Employment support runs through an industry relations service, the Datalumni and Grimp platforms, and the Bloom scheme on transferable skills.
RNCP level 7 title, RECA member. At group level: first school worldwide for Excellence in 3D Animation Production at the 2025 Rookies, fourth French animation school and global top 20 according to Animation Career Review 2026, BAFTA Student Award 2025 for the film Trash.
€6,380 in year one, €7,980 a year thereafter, plus €200 in annual registration fees.
