Animation here is grafted onto a generalist film and audiovisual school, with directing and sound alongside. That encourages cross-disciplinary projects mixing live action, animation and sound, but it also means a less single-minded environment than MoPA or EMCA. It depends what you are after.

The 3D animation course for film and television runs three years, with more than 700 teaching hours a year. The syllabus covers art direction, character design, storyboard, layout, animation, VFX and compositing.

Admission runs through an online application and entrance tests, with monthly selection panels and pre-registration from November. The school is also listed on Parcoursup.

An interesting multi-campus network: Paris, Nice, Rennes, Brussels and New York, with more than 15,000 alumni across all audiovisual trades. State-endorsed three-year degree, CILECT member.

One nuance worth knowing: the RECA label is attributed to the Paris campus, not explicitly to Nice.

Fees appear only in brochures sent on request. The school reports distributing over €100,000 in grants a year and more than 25 % of students on bursaries.
