Griffith Univertsity
Animation school
Australia
Address:
226 Grey St, South Brisbane QLD 4101, Australia
The course is organised into majors: character animation, art direction, post and virtual production with VFX, 3D environments, or writing and development, which allows you to target a specific role.
The Bachelor of Animation runs three years full time, six part time, with a Bachelor of Animation (Honours) as a continuation.
Admission is mainly on portfolio: only a minority of offers go on ATAR, and 75.6 % of admitted students came in on criteria other than school rank alone. That route is open to artistic profiles without a strong academic record. Application through QTAC, portfolio uploaded to the university portal, with an English prerequisite at General or Applied level.
The Brisbane City and South Bank campus puts students in the city's cultural quarter.
An accredited Australian public university. First-year contribution for domestic students in a subsidised place: AU$12,200, indicative. International fees are not published for this course and appear in the individual offer letter.
