Institut sainte genevieve

One of the few French programmes that does not skip traditional 2D and stop-motion in its rush toward digital. The DNMADE Animation degree runs here in two streams: one aimed at fiction, the other at non-fiction, meaning documentary, scientific and educational animation. That second stream is genuinely unusual in a landscape where almost everyone is chasing the feature film.

Three years, licence level, admission through Parcoursup with a review of personal work. The school is private under state contract, which explains fees well below the usual private schools: €2,998 per year for 2025-2026, meals not included.

This is a lycée-institut structure, not a higher-education school in the usual sense. Supervision is close and the rhythm is school-like, which suits a student straight out of secondary education who needs a framework. Member of the RECA network.

The school combines contained fees with teaching in techniques that 3D courses no longer cover.
