Animation school

France

Address:

Les Tissages, 150 Rue Sadi Carnot, 76320 Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf, France

Stop motion is taught on the same footing as 2D and 3D, whereas most French schools have dropped it or treat it as an introductory module. Experimental modules go as far as animating directly on film stock.

The school is attached to an integrated production studio, Les Tisseurs d'Images, presented as the only production studio in Normandy. That creates a direct local outlet.

Initial training runs three years, as a bachelor in 2D, 3D and stop motion animation, with a strong grounding in drawing and artistic culture. Qualiopi-certified continuing education and public workshops complete the offering, with weekly drawing classes, life drawing and masterclasses.

Housed in a converted industrial site in Normandy, about an hour from Paris.

The operation is young, founded in 2019, with little hindsight on graduate employment. No RNCP title is documented despite the bachelor label, which is not a protected term in France.
