Piktura

Animation school
France
Address:
73 bis Boulevard d'Armentières, 59100 Roubaix, France
One of the few schools to treat 2D and 3D animation as equals, alongside illustration and games, on a single campus. If you are still torn between 2D and 3D, that is a real argument: you choose your option knowing what each involves rather than blind.
The course is a three-year Arts degree in Digital Creation with four options, 2D Animation, 3D Animation-FX, Games and Illustration, then a two-year Digital Creation master. Entry into year two and into the first master year is possible.
A structural particularity: the course is attached to a university degree awarded under the Université Catholique de Lille, not simply a private title. That eases further study and international recognition.
Teaching covers modelling, rigging, character animation, FX, compositing, lighting, rendering, motion capture and acting. The campus covers 5,000 m² with student accommodation on the Plaine Images cluster, the image hub of northern France. Around 900 active graduates.
Post-secondary admission through Parcoursup with a compulsory portfolio. RECA member. Fees are not published, the school directs you to a calculator.
