SF Film School Busan

SF Film School Busan

Animation school

Korea

Address:

754 Jungang-daero, Busanjin-gu, Busan, Republic of Korea

A heavily placement-focused operation, with 26 years of activity claimed and a satellite campus in Vancouver. The core of the business remains Korean, with the head office in Seoul.

Courses cover Visual Effects, 3D Animation, Motion Graphics, FX Dynamics & Simulation, Real Character, Game Cinematics, Environment Design and 3D Composite, alongside short software courses on Maya, Nuke, Houdini, ZBrush and Unreal Engine, plus weekend and online formats.

Teaching is practice-centred, with one-to-one mentoring and portfolio building, in groups of 8 to 12 students. The orientation leans clearly toward VFX and CG rather than narrative character animation.

The blocking point for most French speakers: teaching is mainly in Korean. Some content is delivered by international professionals, but language remains the main filter.

Software partnerships and endorsements: Autodesk, Chaos Group, Foundry. The school claims first place worldwide in VFX at the Rookies for five consecutive years between 2021 and 2025, a self-declared claim. Neither course lengths nor fees are published.
